Yukana Private in Toowoomba do retirement living and aged care a little differently. One option are the self contained units for people aged 75+ who wish to remain living independently, with security and support.
The first step in our design process for the refurbishment of one of Yukana Private’s Independent Living Units was to create a Master Plan for the property’s Look and Feel and a style guide. Both documents provided a high level design blueprint for the various facilities on the grounds to work towards over the coming years.
Our brief for the refurbishment of the display unit was to elevate the existing offering to remain competitive within market and meet the needs of a more discerning aging population and their families.
Limited to keeping the same floor plan/layout for the kitchen, laundry and bathroom, the careful application of a select palette of colours ensured textures and gloss levels in the finishes kept the area light, open and interesting
