Melinda Taylor Interiors and Design [MTID] is a distinguished interior design studio based in Australia, specialising in both residential and commercial design projects. With a reputation for creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results, we offer a comprehensive range of interior design services that transform spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and inspiring environments.

We have a special interest in creating accessible and inclusive spaces and home-like senior living environments. MTID prefer to focus on small to mid-range commercial projects and high-end residential projects. We have successfully completed numerous residential and commercial interior design projects throughout Southeast Queensland, Scenic Rim and Darling Downs, receiving very positive feedback for our innovative designs, flexibility, coupled with high levels of client satisfaction.

As a smaller studio, we are more agile and adaptable, capable of swiftly adjusting to industry trends and client demands. Our team’s authentic approach and infectious enthusiasm lingers on after project close - their biggest marker for success being the experience of people using the space. While we may wax lyrical about a particularly sexy armchair and love a more-is-more approach, no two projects are the same, and the team is ready to take on any project. We are committed to accommodating flexible working hours as necessary, demonstrating our dedication to meeting our clients’ needs and project timelines. In our commitment to our flexible approach we have implemented specification and design management software that our clients can access anywhere around the world at any time provided they have reliable internet access.

MTID run all our projects through this software so ALL our clients have access to their real time project data via a client dashboard. Our Client Dashboard is always up to date as it is a live portal. This means our clients have access to the same detail we do and can approve finishes, expenditure, or request further details on procurement items, eliminating the need to sift through hundreds of emails to locate important project documentation or track approvals.

RESIDENTIAL + COMMERCIAL

MTID offers Residential and Commercial Interior Design services. We work through your project on paper first as going through all the details and only making changes on paper is a much more cost efficient approach to identifying what you like than during the build! Our design team excels in creating personalised, stylish, and functional living spaces that reflect our clients’ unique tastes and lifestyles. We have expertise in space planning, colour schemes, furniture selection, and creating harmonious interiors that cater to a range of design preferences.

We understand the dynamics of commercial spaces and have a proven track record in enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of businesses across various industries. We are proficient in spatial planning, translating work flows to into functional operational layouts and design, senior living environments both supported and independent, hospitality interiors, and more.

Our team provides comprehensive design management services, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget and as per the original design Intended. We coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and advocate on behalf of our clients when required especially when value management is required. We can be your eyes and ears on site to ensure that your dream home or businesses approved design intent is implemented and diluted through variations or changes. We are your eyes and ears on site also!

SUSTAINABILITY AND ECO-FRIENDLY DESIGN

We are committed to sustainable design practices and believe every little bit counts! We offer environmentally conscious design solutions, using eco-friendly materials and promoting energy-efficient design whenever possible.

PROCUREMENT AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT

We are proficient in sourcing high-quality furnishings, fixtures, and materials from reputable suppliers. Our team is skilled at vendor management, negotiation, and procurement to provide cost-effective solutions, we can also provide short term storage of procured items. Designers also have access to trade only suppliers which means your project will be one of a kind!
